My goal is to give local businesses a much better website without a large upfront bill or a long contract.

Nothing while you review the new one. If you decide to use my site, you can point your existing domain to it or keep both sites online.
Who handles hosting and updates?
I do. Hosting and normal website updates are included in the $99/month price.
What if I cancel?
Your monthly billing stops. There is no long-term contract.
